365 Digital (Pty) Ltd ("365 Digital", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and other applicable data protection legislation in the Republic of South Africa.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Digital Mastery Hub ("the Platform"). It also describes your rights as a data subject under POPIA.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

3. Information We Collect
3.1. Information You Provide
When you register for and use the Platform, we collect:

  • Identity Information: Your full name as provided during registration.

  • Contact Information: Your email address.

  • Account Credentials: Your Wix Members login details (managed by Wix; we do not store passwords).

3.2. Information Generated by Your Use of the Platform
As you interact with the Platform, the following data is automatically generated and stored:

  • Certification Progress: Which certifications you have marked as to do, in progress, or completed.

  • Gamification Data: XP points, rank, earned badges, activity streak count, and streak history dates.

  • Task Board State: The position of certification cards on the Kanban board.

  • Timestamps: Dates of certification completions and last activity.

3.3. Information Collected Automatically

  • Browser Storage Data: The Platform uses browser local storage to cache your progress data for performance. This data remains on your device.

  • Basic Usage Data: Page views and interaction events may be collected through Wix's built-in analytics (governed by Wix's own Privacy Policy).

3.4. Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect financial or payment information.

  • We do not collect identity numbers, passport numbers, or government-issued identification.

  • We do not collect biometric data.

  • We do not collect location data beyond what Wix may collect as part of standard website analytics.

  • We do not verify or store your third-party certification credentials, examination results, or certificates.

4. Purpose of Processing
We process your personal information for the following specific, explicitly defined, and legitimate purposes:

5. Data Storage
5.1. Primary Storage
Your Progress Data is stored in Wix Data Collections, a cloud-based database service operated by Wix.com Ltd. Your data is stored as a JSON object associated with your unique Wix Member ID.
5.2. Local Storage
The Platform also caches your Progress Data in your browser's local storage for performance and offline fallback purposes. This data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to third parties. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
5.3. Data Location
Wix Data Collections infrastructure is hosted internationally. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your data may be processed and stored outside the Republic of South Africa, subject to Wix's data protection commitments and applicable international data transfer safeguards.
5.4. Retention Period
Your Progress Data is retained for as long as your Wix Members account remains active on the 365 Digital website. If you request deletion of your account or your data, we will delete your records from the LearnerProgress database within 30 days of the request, subject to any legal obligations requiring us to retain certain information.


6. Data Sharing and Third Parties
6.1. We Do Not Sell Your Data
365 Digital does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
6.2. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services in the operation of the Platform:

6.3. Third-Party Certification Platforms
When you click links to external certification platforms (such as Google Skillshop), you leave the Platform. Your interaction with those platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not share your data with these platforms.
6.4. Legal Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.


7. Data Security
7.1. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
7.2. These measures include:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) for all Platform communications.

  • Access-controlled database permissions ensuring users can only access their own records.

  • Regular review of data access patterns and security configurations.

7.3. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7.4. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for any activity that occurs under your account.


8. Your Rights Under POPIA
As a data subject under POPIA, you have the following rights:
8.1. Right to Access (Section 23)
You have the right to request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you and to request access to that information.
8.2. Right to Correction (Section 24)
You have the right to request the correction or deletion of personal information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading, or obtained unlawfully.
8.3. Right to Deletion (Section 24)
You may request the deletion of your personal information where it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
8.4. Right to Object (Section 11(3))
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information on reasonable grounds.
8.5. Right to Withdraw Consent
Where processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
8.6. Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa:

10. Cookies and Local Storage
10.1. Local Storage
The Platform uses browser local storage (not cookies) to cache your certification progress data. This data is stored on your device, is not transmitted to third parties, and can be cleared through your browser settings.
10.2. Wix Cookies
The 365 Digital website (hosted on Wix) may set cookies for session management, analytics, and functionality. These cookies are managed by Wix and are subject to Wix's Cookie Policy.


11. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete such information.


12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform or the 365 Digital website with a revised "Last Updated" date.
Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.


13. Conflict with Wix Privacy Policy
The Platform is hosted on Wix.com. In the event of any conflict between this Privacy Policy and Wix's Privacy Policy regarding the operation of the Platform, this Privacy Policy shall take precedence with respect to data processing activities controlled by 365 Digital.
